At Project Libertad, we empower newcomer immigrant youth and their families to thrive through holistic, youth-led support. We provide essential legal and social services, academic guidance, mentoring, and leadership opportunities—all designed to recognize and amplify the strengths and voices of the young people we serve.

Founded in 2015 by Rachel Rutter, Project Libertad has grown into a recognized leader in immigrant youth advocacy, supporting hundreds of young people and their families each year. Guided by our values of empowerment, inclusion, justice, and community, we take a youth-centered approach that fosters belonging, builds resilience, and opens doors to brighter futures.
