Know Your Rights Project

393 individuals participated in Know Your Rights training in 2022!

Project Libertad’s Know Your Rights Project empowers newcomer immigrant youth in the Greater Philadelphia Area to protect themselves, their families, and their communities against deportation. The project trains youth to exercise their legal rights and disrupt the harmful, illegal practices that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) uses to oppress immigrant communities during enforcement actions. Students learn about their immigration options, higher education, and more. The project also trains educators to resist ICE enforcement in their schools in solidarity with their immigrant students. This project centers the voices and experiences of immigrant youth, who participate in its development and implementation.
